Warum wir 100% recycletes Sterling Silber nutzen

Why we use 100% recycled Sterling Silver

Recycling is an important aspect in many industries today, including jewelry making. But what exactly does it mean when a piece of jewelry is made of 100% recycled 935 sterling silver? And what advantages does it offer compared to conventional raw material? In this article, we will look at this topic in detail.

What is 100% recycled 935 Sterling Silver?

Recycled 935 sterling silver is extracted from existing silver scrap and processed into new jewelry. In our case, this is done by the German refinery Agosi. In contrast, conventional raw material is extracted from freshly mined silver. The recycling process is not only more environmentally friendly, but also saves resources.

The manufacturing process

Our jewelry is cast from 100% recycled sterling silver using the lost wax technique. This process begins with the creation of a wax model of the piece of jewelry. The wax model is then embedded in a mold and heated to melt the wax. The recycled silver is then poured into the mold and, once cooled, the piece of jewelry is removed and further processed.

The Benefits of Recycled Sterling Silver

Recycled 935 Sterling silver offers a variety of advantages. Firstly, it is more environmentally friendly as it reduces the need for freshly mined silver and reduces waste. In addition, recycled silver is of the same quality as raw material and can be processed just as well.

Another benefit of recycled sterling silver is that it often has a lower carbon footprint than regular silver. The recycling process creates fewer emissions, resulting in more sustainable production overall.
