For the second season, I have the pleasure of showcasing my jewelry in the context of a Berlin museum as part of the Berlin Salon. This season, the Gemäldegalerie (Picture Gallery) has opened its doors to 45 designers from the fields of fashion, jewelry, and accessories. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Gemäldegalerie:
"The Gemäldegalerie (Picture Gallery) possesses one of the world's most important collections of European painting from the 13th to the 18th centuries. Masterpieces from all art historical periods are exhibited here, including paintings by Jan van Eyck, Pieter Bruegel, Albrecht Dürer, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Peter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt, and Jan Vermeer van Delft. German and Italian painting from the 13th to the 16th centuries, as well as Dutch painting from the 15th to the 17th centuries, can be admired and studied here in particularly excellent condition."
And among all these masterpieces, the designs of 45 designers are now on display. So, if you have the time and happen to be in Berlin, you have until February 22nd to see this exhibition. I'll definitely be taking a few hours next week to take a good look at the entire exhibition. For those who don't have the chance to see the spectacle in person, here are a few impressions from the opening last Monday.
