Material Guide

Sterling Silver

Colour
The Sterling Silver has a warm shine and has the typical silver colour to it.

Ageing
Sterling Silver does tarnish over time, which means it gets slightly darker and more matt.

Sustainability
The Sterling Silver we are using is 50% recycled material and 50% “new” material. This way we save resources and also ensure high quality casts. Sterling Silver is very durable and can be worn a whole lifetime.

Comfort
Sterling Silver is a very warm, soft and comfortable material to wear and it does not need a lot of care.

Material Value
The pure material value of Sterling Silver is higher than the one of Brass, as Silver belongs to the precious metals.

Care
With your order of Sterling Silver jewelry you will receive a little polishing cloth to bring back the shine after a lot of wearing. Furthermore I recommend to take off jewelry during exercise to prevent the jewelry from damaging. Also should the jewelry be removed before putting on lotion or using soaps of all sorts, that prevents the Sterling Silver from tarnishing too fast.

Gold-Plated Sterling Silver

Colour
The Gold-Plating has a beautiful, sunny, bright yellow glow and pairs beautifully with our Sterling Silver.

Ageing
The Gold-Plating does not tarnish and keeps its golden shine. However all pieces that are in skin contact a lot – rings especially – will wear off their gold-plating after a while. If you feel like your piece needs a re-plating we are happy to help!

Sustainability
The Gold-Plating is done with 100% recycled Gold!

Comfort
The Gold-Plating gives the jewelry a very warm, beautifully soft finish and is therefore very easy to wear.

Material Value
The pure material value of Sterling Silver is higher than the one of Brass, as Silver belongs to the precious metals just like Gold. Gold has a very high material price and our Gold-Plated jewelry is covered with a layer 2 microns thick

Care
I recommend to take off jewelry during exercise to prevent the layer of Gold from scratching or damaging. Also should the jewelry be removed before putting on lotion or using soaps of all sorts, that prevents the Plating to wear off too fast.

Brass

Colour
The Brass as a very warm golden shine to it – a bit darker than the gold-plating.

Ageing
Brass does tarnish over time and gets darker and matter.

Sustainability
Just like Sterling Silver, Brass is a durable material that can keep you company over a long lifespan with the right care.

Comfort
Brass is a little harder than Sterling Silver but is still a very warm and easy material to wear. However – as some of you might have experienced before with other jewelry – Brass will leave green marks on your skin when being worn for a long time, especially on your fingers. This is why I recommend Brass for earrings and necklaces rather than for rings and bracelets. The less Brass touches the skin the longer it stays nice and shiny.

Material Value
Brass itself has a very low material value of only a few cents per gram – but of course this makes the brass versions more affordable.

Care
With your order of Brass jewelry you will receive a little wire wool pouch. When your jewelry tarnishes and loses its shine, just go over it with the wire wool to bring back the shine.

Gold-Plated Brass

Colour
The Gold-Plating has a beautiful, sunny, bright yellow glow – a bit brighter than our Brass.

Ageing
The Gold-Plating does not tarnish and keeps its golden shine. However all pieces that are in skin contact a lot – rings especially – will wear off their gold-plating after a while. If you feel like your piece needs a re-plating we are happy to help!
